well it was because you were cheating (if i remeber correcty)
i only ban if you break the rules on my server
if you cheat or shoot in ny you will be banned

I would never shoot anybody in NY, unless attacked, and anyway, that never happened. I never loaded any cheats. I gotta believe somebody else used a similar handle, and caused a problem! I have been "Lancer31" for several years, because my name is "Roger", which in German is "Famous with the spear", and I was born in 1931! Anyway, thanks for answering! I have tried to live my "Freelancer" life like I have lived my real 71 years- I don't attack innocent people, and I work for the credits I earn! it might be some hacker playing with your computer

I can't imagine why anyone would lie about being 71 years old! Anyway, I figured out a possible reason for my banishment. Another old geezer, whose been a friend of ours for 43 years, (he's not a gamer, he's too old, at 75,), drops by on 3 or 4 afternoons a week, and we have a beer-break, and shoot the bull. I may have forgot to log off the server for a couple of hours during some of these sessions. If "camping on the server" is a bannable offense, (and Iknow it bugged me when Raptor's Pure Server always said "32/32", then I am probably guilty.

well the camping is not why i banned u may be if some other could played while you were camping and was running around killing ppl in ny i don't know what ever it may be
but i will give u a special permission back onto my server and if i find u are breaking the rules (which are said every 15 mins) again i will try to see if it accully u and if it is then well i ban u (...again) and this time i not going to be so quick to let u back in

Your magnanimity is exceeded only by your attrocious typing! My character was even left intact! I remember now why I didn't G.A.S. about being banned! Some 15 year old kid, camped out by a docking place, (not NY), tried to extort $100k out of me, because he had a superior set of weapons, (cheats or not-I don't know), not being one to roll over for this kind of crap, I spent a lot of hard-earned cash to try to defeat the punk, but was un-successful. He finally said he really needed about $20k, which I told him I would have gladly given him, if he had asked nice, in the first place. Anyway, in the process of our conversation, I did tell the A__hole that if he had had a father, that person would have taught him to be more polite! Maybe that had something to do with my banishment? That episode left me in a hostile place, with no cash!
Anyway, as far as attacking players in NY, I was a victim of that, probably on your server, when some ****, who wrote in German, using the name "Masoj",
camped out at the gate by Manhattan, blew me up with a hold full of high profit cargo.
I was recently on another server, doing the old "Rochester to Manhattan" run. I had built up about $100k, when a player I assumed to be a Noob, came along. I "took him under my wing" so to speak, to show him how to build up some wealth early. (Hey, I don't make 'em smoke it, I just smuggle it!). Anyway, here he is at level 2, and wants to give me $1mil! Also, he's using some kind of Klingon cloaking device! Well the Admin. kicks him off, but even though we were in a group, apparently, nothing rubbed of on me! Anyway, thanks for re-instating me- how about doing the same on TLR-gold? I might be in better shape on that one! If you do find that I'm somehow cheating, (and it's sure as hell not intentional!), let me know what you find, so I can eliminate it! Thanks again!

Thanks to all who wrote! Always looking for a good wingman, preferably experienced, so we don't need to do a lot of typing while trying to fight, and in a western U.S. type time zone. PS I'm on the west coast, so often playing when you guys are.

If those other servers are running the same patch as Elite and TLR-Gold expect to be auto-booted from there as well Lancer. You were booted from Elite and TLR-Gold for using equipment that is not normally sold in-game. Thought you'd like to know.

Does that mean guns from hidden wrecks, or from destroyed enemy fighters, like Nomads? If so, I never saw that mentioned in any rules, so was ignorant.
I may not understand the reasoning behind banning someone who equips
items found in the game, whether purchased or salvaged, but, after all, it is your server to do with as you see fit, and I respect that. BTW, thanks for telling me, I do appreciate knowing, since it is dangerous and expensive, blundering around looking for wrecks, only to pick up junk that you can't use, and doesn't sell for much.
To the mr. winkie guys- I do appreciate your offer, but your server doesn't show up on my machine.
