NAT

Here SysOps can list their MultiPlayer server info and users can send feedback to their SysOps. Or just talk about the MultiPlayer servers they play on. This is not about MultiPlayer in general - please use the MultiPlayer Forum for that!

NAT

Is there a way to run a Frelancer server behind NAT with a private IP address on the machine that the server will run on. My router has a public IP Address but all of my workstations have private IP addresses. Since I have only one IP address I am wondering if there is anything that I can do to still run a server with my current configuration.

port forwarding.. you wanna forward the ports 2302-2304 UDP to the client (lan ip) you have running the server

if you have a direct x macro of the ports that would be a good thin to use

I opened these 3 ports on my router and forwarded them towards my server. When I log onto multiplayer mode on get on the internet to play I can see my server bu it show the private IP address that is asigned to tha machine. Is this supposed to happen. Will players not on my LAN see it's public IP Address?

Your server should appear as a LAN server from within your own network, but will appear as an Internet server on the global server for players outside your LAN.

Depending on whether your router routes traffic on the LAN interface to the inbound side of the WAN interface from client on the LAN, you might also see it appear on the global server with it's WAN address.
