Possible Cheating or Server Acting Up!

Here SysOps can list their MultiPlayer server info and users can send feedback to their SysOps. Or just talk about the MultiPlayer servers they play on. This is not about MultiPlayer in general - please use the MultiPlayer Forum for that!

Possible Cheating or Server Acting Up!

Ok I was on about 12 pm today (Afternoon) Two people kepy coming up as New Player (Name) every few minutes. I thought this was kinda odd and I checked their names in the Chat area. They we're level 39 and 46, which I have no idea about online but I thought you can only gain Lv38. One of the people Murphy_Lee then asked anyone if they needed 'extra' cash. Someone responed and headed to we're they agreed to meet up. This I think kinda blow his cover or he made it honestly and my comp or your server is doing something weird (about the New Player thing).

The other player was -<GB>-FirbeOps or something like that. He was Lv46. And had the same New Player thingy coming up with his name. During this time however another player was being kicked of the server for 'poosible cheating'.

So check out Murphy_Lee and FirbeOps if you wish.

Uh, I play on Elite and I am a level 52. The new server patch upped the levels to a yet-to-be-determined limit.

I think it says new player whenever you join no matter what your level

Then again I can be totally wrong

No he was already playing and every few mins it said 'New Player Murphy_Lee' etc. He didnt depart or gick kicked off.

Nothing odd about it.

It's a simple way to change the offerings in the bar for bribes and missions. F1, change character, select same character. *POOF*! New missions/bribes. It's just quicker than launching and docking again...

You never see the "depart" message because they don't actually leave the server to change characters. : )
