I'm happy that this server is back. However, many accounts have been banned from this server for no apparent reason. My account wasn't banned but it isn't fair for those who haven't cheated, PKed, or hacked. Gene, what the hell is going on dude? I am Wazzabi44 on that server. Why haven't you banned me? I accepted money from a hacker. You can ban me but I don't care since I have other account on other servers. I don't accept money from hackers; only legit players from other players on other servers. But c'mon get some common sense into you and stop banning ppl for the hell of it.

Wasn't it posted that you should be emailing the admins of the server to report cheaters and stuff?

However I do agree with both points from both posters.

Cheaters/Modders suck. They ruin it for everyone else (Modders I am counting only the idiots that want to mod on an unmodded server)

I personally have banned a couple of people without notifying them....But I have good reason...And if they ask about it...I will explain it to them.

Reasons I will ban without contacting:

1. When I am perusing the account list...cleaning house of account IDs with no character (It lags the system), if I find a character on there that could be perceived as offensive or racist by anyone I will ban that character. If however they are online, I will give them the chance to delete the character on thier own.

I have banned a character named StarF*ckers_inc Which I find HIGHLY inappropriate. People can yell at me for that all they want...But I will defend my actions with this: There are people of all ages playing this game....I do not feel that children need to see things like that, at least not on my server.

I will give them a chance to change it. I don't have a problem with it at all. Just please use common sense and descency when choosing a nick.

I haven't been able to find an e-mail address for Gene, but I'll look a little harder. Personally, I was just reporting some abuse. I did not intend to start yet another thread for flames and complaints; there's quite enough of those already.

Well, no sooner are we blessed with Gene's server again than someone has to go breaking the rules.

Around 1:00 pm CST a player named Thrindel_Sev was running rampant around New York slaughtering every player he could find.

He eventually got bored and crashed into Manhattan. Might want to ban 'em before he comes back.

Guess those starfliers were no match for his Eagle.

... back to ma trading runs.

UPDATE:

I have all the luck. No sooner do I report Thrindel_Sev then another one shows up. I came flying out of manhattan to get zapped by a nice, big, blue nomad battleship named Kile_Katar.

At least he was nice enough to correct my mispelling of his name when I asked him to leave. We wouldn't want to ban the wrong Kile, right?

Not a good start here.

UPDATE:

Thrindel_Sev returned with a 6000 speed cruise engine. Guess he wanted more power for ramming Manhattan. I wonder if he knows that you can't bump a planet out of position....

Think I'm going to try my luck later.

This guy has a mod engine that gave him invincibility. he gave away Guns to Ca, shoulds to a few other players. and uses the credit cheat.

This guy is a piece of garbage.

Rather than banning account ID's that have no character names on them, you should just delete the account. That is probably what you meant. It is better to just delete them, that way they can start over someday.
