is this cheating? exploit? or fair game

having 2 characters on the same server, one in a humpback the other in a titan. both ships were earned thru lucrative trading skills.

now here is the question.

I park the humpback at fort bush, log on the fighter, pick cargo containers off the passing transports, once space is full of loot, log the humpback on and loot and sell at the base, repeat till all loot gone, then relog fighter and pick off some more cargo container. rinse and repeat.

would ya consider that a cheating?

Yes this is a form of cheating. Its a basic form of cheating called multi-playing which basically man you use one of your own characters to help another character that you own. If you had a friend wiping out the ships and then you picked up the cargo, thats fine, but you can't use both your characters.

I guess this would go in with the concept of giving credits to a buddy and starting a new char so you could get the cash back and lvl up quickly. I would think that it's only cheating if the server op didnt want you to do it. You also run the risk (if transferring large amounts of cargo or creds) of jumping to a much higher lvl quickly, which may earn you a ban if the admin thinks you're credit hacking.

Do I think it's cheating? not really....unless it's diamonds, niobium, cardamine or artifacts whatever cargo dropped isn't going to net you a fortune. Seems like more work than profit to me.

I wouldn't consider it cheating, just inefficient. Just buy a transport and pick the stuff up.
