*FIX* - Activated a mod then deactivated and crashes!

Not sure if there is a topic on this so i'll post anyways.

Ok, this has happened to my friend plenty of times when he was playing and he had no clue what to do and i had to keep going over to his house and showing him how to do it over and over again (He is quite forgetful with some things).

Procedure/Method:
Open up your My Documents folder that is found in the Start Menu or maybe on your Desktop. If you have installed Freelancer, there'll be a new folder inside your My Document's folder called My games. Open that up.

Click on the folder, Freelancer and then open up another folder called Accts (Ignore the .ini files, they're not anything important in this resolvement). Now open up the SinglePlayer folder and there'll be some .FL files in there.

Delete the one that says: AutoSave.fl. That is all there is to it.

If you still have crashes, please refer to other topics that are stickied in this forum.

Also, Freelancer Mod Manager has an AutoSave.fl file remover that is a lot easier and can save time. Just open up FLMM and go to the Tools menu and select Delete Autosave (might fix startup crash), it will give you a confirmation dialogue so you just select Yes and it will delete it.

Good Luck!

I just delete the folders altogether inside the Accounts folder.
No biggie on starting a fresh new game.

Yeah, this is mainly for people that have crashes then they re-install it and it still occurs and then they apply QuickFix and it still crashes. All they're doing is forgetting to delete one tiny little file: "AutoSave.fl".

Yeah, that tends to happen even in some MP applications.
