Server Cheating

This may not be the correct place for this topic, but I have a question on the FLServer. I made a cruiser for sale on a planet but the only problem is that when I go outside with it the server says I'm cheating (this is my own server by the way). How would I go about fixing this?

do you have the patch for the server http://download.microsoft.com/download/ ... lpatch.exe this should fix it

Does it specify why type of cheat? i.e. "ship related" , "equipment related" ...
Last night I finally got my custom LBS292_Warhammer (carrier class battleship) to show up at the dealer (after editing the cmp to get rid of some useless items)
but, like you..my own server kicks me for a "ship related" cheat.
I know it's something simple that I overlooked and really wished I had more specific details about what to look for.
You probably have an identical case with your ship. Something simple was overlooked where the server "sees" something different from the usual data files. Could be a Shield Type related to a Ship Class (which happened on a different ship but tends to be the common cause) .
Could be something as simple as changing something in the shiparch.ini that perhaps was overlooked in the goods.ini.
I have to go back through my files and one thing I'm going to do is delete all the custom ship files in the Primary Freelancer Data folder. This way, when I reload the mod, the "new" custom configurations will be loaded into the primary folders.

It sounds like you installed the official Microsoft Freelancer patch version 1.1
If you did that's the problem.
The only way to get rid of the patch is to delete your Freelancer folder which is located at
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer
do not uninstall Freelancer but instead delete the Freelancer folder...
and then reinstall Freelancer again and this time do not install the 1.1 patch.
Instead install the QuickFix patch QuickFix-v1.0c.exe

Thanks everyone for your replies. Im going to try the QuickFix right now.

The QuickFix did not work. It still suspects me of cheating.

Is it an equipment error (inconsistent ship setup) or is it a ship related cheat?

You might want to check the volume usage of your engine. You can either make the cruiser have a larger cargo hold (1000), or you can go to engine_equip.ini and make sure all the volumes are 0.

You could check the package for the ship (in goods.ini) and make sure that whatever it comes mounted with is placed on the right mounts (ie, make sure you don't have a turret mounted on a gun, or a Class 10 on a Class 9 slot, etc.
