Can''t Buy!

Hey guys! I don't know why, but I can't buy ANY thrusters or ANY shields! They just don't show up on the list to buy! and I know a lot of these planets / stations sell them! Any ideas? I'm a level 14, and I accidentally sold my old shield and now I don't have one!!!

Thanks!

Edit - No shouting please.

Try another base. It sounds like you arn't freindly with a particular faction. If your hostile to them, and they run the base, you can't buy until you become friendly with them.

no no, I'm on friendly planets and ships. Any other ideas?

Are you running a mod?
editg - You could also go back an auto save and rerun your last mission before you lost the shield and then have it back.

I had one, but I erased the program and everything. Do you think it could still be having an effect?

You deleted the Mod? or freelancer?

If you deleted auto saves, you may have to start again. But, try another base first. Which planet are you on now?

I haven't been able to buy since level 7 when I installed the MOD. I've been to like 6 different systems and bases and none of them let me buy. Infact, when I tried to DETACH the shield, it would crash. I've only taken out the mod program. But I dunno.

Ok, you ran the plain game, got to level 7 then added the mod? Thats the problem. Anytime you add a mod, you must start a new game. The same if you remove one. Open FLMM and click on tools, then click restore backups to erase the mod from the game, then start a new game or another mod then a new game.
