For one and for all . . . IP''s and MAC address, how to reso

I've seen several topics on this subject, I've tried what they've suggested, but none of them have worked . . .

I want to play Freelancer on a local server, one that's hosted on my personal computer. But . . . when I launch FLServer and Freelancer, I get a MAC address, similar to fe80:: . . . etc.

I've tried to do a direct IP connect to my computer, but that doesn't work; I've also tried disabling TCP/IPv6.

Any suggestions?

Yes! I guess I'm not the only one with this problem. I know its got to be a setting in my system since Zone Alarm 7 is allowing Freelancer and FL server fully. Plus it wouldn't let my server be accessed from my friends system, even through a network!
I also couldn't see his server on my system. I'm running Windows XP with sp2 and have windows configuring my network connections.

Exactly! I'm glad I'm not alone in this universe . . .
