sound help

i got freelancer in the uk about a year ago and i moved back to the u.s and when i installed it here it dosen't play voices after the freeport seven destruction
plese help

Check in your Audio Options if the 'Dialogue Volume' is still on and turn off 'Use 3D Sound'.
Check in your General Options if all 'Miscellaneous' are activated.

If you have installed any mods before, then backup your save's and reinstall the game.
Do not apply any kind of patches.

i don't have any mods and never have had any.
dialogue voluume is at max and 3d sounds are off.
misc are all enabled
