loading old saved games

Hi,

I'm a newbie and can't get my old saved games to load into the newly installed game.
The uninstall saved the files in a folder, "Accnts" and "single player".

Thank-you very much.

You didn't give much information, such as were you using any mods
but here's a suggestion...

Delete the Freelancer folder, not uninstall but delete.
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer
By deleting the folder you make sure there will be no files left in the Freelancer folder which happens sometimes (especially if you have used mods) after just uninstalling the game.

Open up your saved games folder...
Documents and Settings\your name (or the name you gave your document folder)\My Document\My Games\Freelancer
In the Singleplayer folder if there is a file in there named Restart.fl - delete that file.
Then pop in the Freelancer CD and the install screen will come up.
Now install Freelancer.
Happy gaming!

the starting savegame created out of the newplayer.fl
it is loaded everytime you start FL but does not change (which is a reason for some crashes of mods if savegames are not deleted)

when you launch the singleplayer the restart is taken to initialize all the stuff... trent... the first mission... the fp7 scene and so on

heyguys,

It was a Windows XP- Microsoft Games lovers "tiff."

When correctly UNinstalled, the game saves the games to "My Games".

My dilemma was about the fact that I re-installed my entire OS on my laptop.
Alls well on the front now.

On a side note:

Do they have any full-fledged sit-down cock-pits in malls for this wonderful game?

Wouldn't it be cool to have a good wing-man from Peru while you're in Deutschland?

When you're in the heat of battle and you're getting flak, wouldn't it be great to be jostled right out of the cock-pit when you didn't do your homework on your choice of shields before you left the last neutral port? Ha-Ha!!

Thanks guys!
