Confusion with unofficial patches

Hi all,

Today I felt like picking up FL again after a long time. Because I was interested in the progress of some mods I decided to browse the download section. There two unofficial patches caught my eye. They are:

- Unofficial Freelancer SP Patch 1.40 Advanced Edition
- QuickFixPlus

After inspecting the readme's I decided to install QuickFixPlus first and the SP Patch 1.4 as second. They both fix a great deal of the ini's but I think they get overwritten by the other. I'm not really sure about this, there are so many ini's...
The reason I applied both patches is because it was noted in some mod's description which I forgot the name of.

But the following questions rise:

- Are both patches really necessary? And if they are, in what order should I install them?
- If both patches aren't necessary, which one would be recommended to install?

Thnx in advance!

Those patches are not necessary, most of the mods include them already.

Cool, I wasn't aware of that. Thanks

QuickFix is the only necessary patch for this game. It cannot be completely integrated into a mod without an installer.
