Can''t install FL

After having some bugs and stuff ruining my FL, I decided to reinstall it. However, when I do install it, it stops at 22% "Hakkera.utf" and it doesn't continue and kinda freezes and lags my comp. help anyone?

Fraid I have no idea, is your disk scratched? I'd suggest a house clean by using disk defrag, followed by cCleaner to remove any excess registery entries etc. Sure, it most likely won't sort it out - but it can't hurt can it.

After all that, i'd run other software in the disk drive (for fluff n dust) first, and then try the reinstall once more.

To be honest, I haven't seen any single one reason for errors in installation at all, they are tough ones - possibly corruption (how old is the disk?). You can buy freelancer for a couple of quid these days, so it maybe worth while investing in another disk if it still doesn't work.

Delete each file that could belong to Freelancer.
If it does not work then format, reinstall your windows and try again, otherwise buy a new CD for 5$.

I had the very same problem, i had to buy a new CD. So i say it is the CD, it can't read the data from the CD. You need to buy a new one or get files a friend to replace the missing files.

But to save the hassle i'd just buy a new CD or borrow one off a friend to install and use your own CD to use FL in-game.
