Flash of light when I fire on a ship.

Whenever I fire my guns at a ship there is a flash of light that shrouds the entire ship. I can't see the ship I'm firing on through the flash. I can only see the reticule.

Does the light continue, or only while firing?

Only when I fire on the ships. It's rather odd because I don't recall it happening during the first part of the game (spc). After I finished the single player game the issue still persists during freeform playing. When I stop firing I can see the ship. This problem appears only when the actual rounds make contact on the ship.

Then that, is the explosion, the weapon creates,and is normal. If you know the wep type, you can reduce the size of the effect, if it is bothersume.
