Just would like some input on what you guys recommend for making changes for the game and what are you changing " saved games " or the game files itself.

Afaik no one knows enough about the save files to edit them yet, so most mods so far involves editing the ini-files in the DATA-folder. If you want to edit them, you'll need to decompress them with a program. You can find several on this forum or by following the Utilities link on the front page
