I'm not much of an editor (in the lines of: I can't edit) but wouldn't be silly to add
a black hole into a star system because you've had to erase the planets
because of the hole's grav pull

there are 2 blackhole types, theres the one in that approach picture, which is actually the black hole rings, I havent done those yet. However i've put in the funnel type black hole need to create a solar and use blackhole textures have photo at

still need to figure out the rings/ cloud zones and there are gravity well items but havent figured out how to attach them, oh the blackhole spins...

I have several things to add.

First, the gravity would be no more intense than that of the star that collapsed into it, so the planets, though lifeless and cold, would be intacted.

Second, the question has not been answered. I asked not too long ago, and recieved almost no help. This is understandable, as it is unlikely that any modders would really care about this. Cruisers and scanner upgrades are more interesting, after all.

I would be willing to post the code I have so far, if anyone would really like it, but I only have the black sphere as the star. I haven't yet got the rings or the jets to work.

Hey guys, any progress yet?

The black hole has the same mass as its former sun, so every thing would stil rotate around it at same place but the supernova blast would have reduced everything around to dust.
But after that you can build new tradelanes and mine the debris field.
