MOD: Edge of Liberty 0.1 Alpha

Not a full mod in my book, but a helluva lot of fun nonetheless! It's a quick patch-job of my current work-in-progress which is alot bigger and alot of space and modifications.

I'm releasing it just to show I'm not full of wind and I am actually doing something. ;'D

Note that the URLs above are from a dynamic IP and bandwidth sucks. If someone can host this...? TLR...?

To install, just extract into your Freelancer directory. The original versions of all modified INIs are included, but with a .IN extension rather than .INI, just in case you 'forgot' to make a backup.

The "Save" folder contains, strangely enough, a savegame made immediately after mission 13 (with minor faction mods), flying an Anubis with matching gear.

It might help.

As a side note, you can find the MP3 codec fix in the codecs directory of that site.

EDIT: Changed URLs to a more convenient (for me) FTP server.

I wanted to download this but wanted to know a few of the features as well as weather it's for use with SP or MP(or both). Name sounds cool and the screenshots look cool as well. Thanks!

Should work fine with either, though I suspect it may start a riot with MP - there's some heavy skirmishing going on over Manhattan, you see.

This mod is part of what I use to test my gameplay mod. I'd rather not be specific to avoid expectations but alot of what 'needs' to be done as outlined in this forum will, hopefully, be done.

Eventually I'm hoping to have something that will involve modified versions of content.dll, server.dll, freelancer.exe, new ship stats (to give something other than hardpoints as a basis for buying ship X) and finally a new system or three with missions.

Exocraft, thanks! Yes, please do so. My own server will stay up but I can't guarantee for how long and as I said before, bandwidth (well, actually it's the link between indonesia and the rest of the world) sucks.
