Black Hole

Hey all, I am new to modding in fl, but I did some heavy modding in freespace one and two, and have successfully installed all a bunch of simple mods on my game (flyable nomad ship, engines/armor/sensors/energy upgrades, buyable cruisers, etc...), but I have hit a wall. I am atempting to replace the star in New York with the black hole from the screenshot (with the acretion disk and jets), however, all I manged to do was replace the planet manhattan with the big black sphere, and no sign if the disk or jets, and the star was still there.

Any idea how I would go about doing this?

(pardon my lack of spelling ability)

people have experimeneted with the black hole before and found out there were 2 graphics for it in the game. The black sphere and the spiral one. I think you just need to change the graphic to the filename of the Spriral .

I have located the black sphere, as it was manhattan breifly (oops

), but not the grey vortex. I have read all the other black hole posts in this and the spoiler sections, and I have seen screenshots of the vortex (but that is unimportant, because I want the black sphere and disk/jets). What I am really wondering is, I guess, how do you change the star in a system? Once I have that down, maybe the disk and jets will be easier...

edit: btw, the name of the system in the screenshot with the black hole is Omega-13 if that helps at all

arg... no one helping... I must reconstruct the nifty black hole in the screenshot of Omega-13. I did figure out how to change the star to the big black sphere, but the ring and jets still elude me. Any help would be appriciated. At the very least, could someone tell me how to put any rings on the sun?

Lol i can do the spiral thing but cant do the black sphere

in the my folder folder. dont have any other place to send file.
file size is 680k sorry forgot to shrink

p.s the spiral was used by making a new planet in the solararch file
i have excess amount of garbage in my system map file due to various thousands of tries, i still need to figure out rings and the black sphere

I think you got the wrong spiral... but its more than I could do, so could you post your code?
