What property of missiles makes them homing missiles?

does anyone know?

In the weapon_equip.ini, look for the seeker type under the munition for a missile. Dumb means that its a dumbfire missile and works like the flak cannons on the linerty dreadnaught. Lock makes it homing but don't forget to add the range and angular velocity data.

Turn_rate, velocity_speed, Blast_radius. Turn_rate is how manevuorable it is to turn and hit the target. Look at the data for the cruise distruptor 8.4?? and regular 4.32, and Javelin 2.1 could not hit the broad side of a barn. Speed aslo helps, and also it "life time" constant to live.

Been slapped alot by pirates dropping CM to decoy thier infinite Cruise Distruptor Missles? It is difficult. CM is good for only 2 seconds life is 3 seconds, by the time you hit CM to drop, another cruise distruptor is hitting you. I think they need to tone them damn cruise dirtruptors down for the AI anyway.
