well then im out of ideas.. dont know much about freighters.. but why do you want torp's to kick pirates ass.. nothing is easier then dodging a torp.. their supposed to go for battle and gun ships, or am i just a complete idiot ?

i know what you mean.. after i finished SP I suddennly felt the urge to visit every wreck and gather every lvl 10 gun.. I spent atleast 2 hrs to find the sunslayer torp launcher.. until i learned how to mod

You can put torpedoes on any ship by changing/adding this to their shiparch section:

hp_type = hp_torpedo_special_1, HpTurret01, HpWeapon01
hp_type = hp_torpedo_special_2, HpTurret01, HpWeapon01

What this does is tell HPWeapon01 (hard points can be mounted with anything they only name Weapon/Turret/Shield so its easier to identify) that it can use both cruise disrupters (hp_torpedo_special_1) and torpedoes (hp_torpedo_special_2)
