The mod I desperatly want to see!

A randomizer for the commodities. Everytime you load the game, from a save point etc the prices on commodities would randomly change. Just a thought

Yeah, or something more advanced like, if someone sells like 5000 diamonds in new tokyo the diamond price would go down because of the large ammount of sold diamonds... this way ppl could not follow only 1 trade route

YOu would propably have to do new DLLs and a new exe to get this to work correctly, as far as i understood it. Basicly you would need to implement a totaly new "market" engine into freelancer. so this kind of change will propably be a long while.

if it were possible to incorporate this at all without all the source files and a lot of development time.

I admit that a dynamic market is what I've wanted to see in trading games for a long time. Also, the actual amounts being sold should change as each player or NPC buys or sells those items. I found in the demo of FL, there seems to be no limit to how much stock any base has of a certain item. If it's in stock, you can buy as much as you want of it.

I found a good couple of cheats to get money but it screws up the demo as it takes you over the level 2 limit and ends the game. but it's nice to know for later reference.

My idea of an OS is one that operates the system, not a self contained package of every piece of software ever invented.
