editing the mass of ships makes interesting results...

having modded the humpback to have a mass of 10, she now goes 300mph at cruise, 650ish mph on afterburn and 250 mph on normal engines.

Now to try it with 0 mass =)

Post Thu Mar 06, 2003 7:54 pm

ok with 0 mass....989 normal speed. same for afterburners, however cruise engines are at 300kph still =(

yeah I was fooling with some of the of the thrusters and the it seems that there is a constant in this game that makes your top speed limit at 990 Meters a sec (not mph) kinda sucks, but mabye if you alter the friction numbers that could change something? could also mess your game up, so back up your files

It's better to just edit the engines and thrusters instead of the ship's mass. When I lowered the Anubis's mass to 65, a simple little bump against another ship sent me spinning out of control. Kinda fun though.

Then there are a bunch of english teachers pulling a pretty cruel prank on you all.
