Ships Buyable not changing.

I followed Knight's instructions in my other post to add the Armored Transport, but it won't work.

The 3 default ships at still buyable.

This is what I have in market_ships.ini

The ONLY ship buyable is the Armored Transport, but still, the other 3 are there, and no armored transport.

There are several conditions where it will not change things like this - notably if you don't exit and restart the 'server' (or mini-server).

If you plan to do any serious modification of the game, you'll have to be prepared to think through little problems like this one. There will be a lot of them.

For one thing, I'm not a coder, hence asking for coders.

And I figured it out, nothing is server side, it has to be on both client and server, or else it a) doesn't work (server only), or b) crashes the server (client only)

For mods of this type for single player - I would have to start a new game?

So everytime I change something I would have to make a new game?

no, you just have to RE-start the game....

change something, say the max batteries, then start the game, get the ship you changed it for and try and see...
