Where are ship levels stored?

I'm still working with the demo and wanted to try the other ships.

i don't have the demo so i couldn't tell u if it is in the same spot or not for you.

However, I am pretty sure the only other ship in the demo u could fly is the bloodhound which u could just buy from the Junkers

you can not fly the bloodhound.. I tried.. must be level 2

But what .ini file (if possible) can we edit so that ships that currently require Level 4 (for example) then only require level 1?

Weapons too! it'd be great to just set all tech in the demo so that its level 1 buyable.

There is the Junker Bloodhound, the Startracker(?) on Manhattan, the Dagger on Buffalo, the Elite Fighter on the Missouri.

I was looking at ship_marketplace.ini or something like that. Its in the equipment folder but I didn't understand the structure of the file.

Each column in market_ships.ini is whether a ship is available for sale and at what level.

In the demo (which is what I'm using), the number of models available is limited... but if you change wherever it says:

xxxx_package, n, -1, 0, 0, 1, 1, 1

(where 'n' is the level the ship can be bought at) to

xxxx_package, 0, -1, 1, 1, 0, 1, 1

The ship will be available for sale.

I too have been looking in the demo folders for such lines what indicate level
of ship purchase

I haven't found it though

Well it does indead work in the demo as well. I modified the file and now have access to the heavy fighter on the battleship Missouri, and the startracker on Manhattan.

Thanks for the help guys.

PS. For anyone else doing so, make sure you use the save game crack that increases the level needed for lv 2.
