Funny Code

I was looking through the m13.ini file and came across this I LOL as I have never seen anything like it before in the code. Well here it is.

Act_StartDialog = king_and_juni_*****

[Dialog
nickname = king_and_juni_*****
system = St03b
line = king, Player, DX_M13_1010_KING
line = juni, Player, DX_M13_1020_JUNI
line = king, Player, DX_M13_1030_KING

Well I guess the forum wont allow a piece of code. But the word is Bit*ch

“SISU”
(Pronounced: siss-sue)
(Meaning)
Guts, Tenacity, Steadfastness, Courage, and an Indomitable will to Succeed, and Survive.

Yeah, I found some funny binary strings when looking through the DLLs and EXEs once. Somewhere is "and Yehwah created the heavens and the universe.." and other random silly stuff like that. Somewhere there's the usual developer-frustration of "if (something here) happens, TALK TO (someone), NOT ME. I'M SICK OF HEARING OF THIS." lol

If you dig deep enough, the developers have written messages within the code. one of my mates told me this - and have seen screenies, its funny. Will see if i can find the pics

I came across some dialogue parts:
In MISSION13:
dx_m13_1210_vonclaussen.wav
dx_m13_1260_juni.wav
In TRENT:
dx_s076x_1701b_trent.wav
dx_s076x_1901b_trent.wav
In ASSIST_03
dx_s070x_assist_03.wav

In EXTRAS:
dx_s070x_0001_orderextra_01.wav

Actually, I've never heard it during the singleplayer campaign. I might be wrong though.
Whatever the case, I guess this 'debriefing report' could have been what gave Orillion an idea that the president is held captive in Alaska (after all, "it was a routine scouting mission through Zone-21". This is just speculation though.

To give notice guys, this explains and further backs speculation that the game was 'rushed' out by microsoft and never completely finished.

So those who suggested the microsoft 'rushed' the game out earlier than it was to be finished, they are entirely correct. You should see that in those dialogues there are some that have never been used.

One such dialogue I have found is Juni exclaiming Trent's name in vain, and Orillion stating to let Trent go saying 'that he has had enough, he will be back'

I strongly believe that was there to play as soon as Trent denied Orillion's request to take on the final mission to attack the Nomad homeworld. That was the setting where Professor Quintain and Sinclair finished their report on the artefact in that room where the square table with panels in a circular arrangement around them were placed to have the artefact working. Microsoft never had the 'Decline' option put there and had to continue with the mission regardless

So there will be some dialogues in there Microsoft made and never used it. Never implemented in the code and could most certainly given up creating the thn file used to work with those dialogues.

The orderextra01.wav file is played very quietly in the background of the end-Mission 11 cutscene.

hmmm, that .wav file could be coded in the m11.ini file to play at a low volume however I am not sure that the story mission codes have that kind of act state or command behavioru to do that.

One of my favorite wav files is dx_s045b_2101_ozu.wav

Post Tue Sep 11, 2007 12:38 pm

I recently fount a file where a voice (using Microsoft Sam) says: "Reaching operational boundaries".

that "dx_s070x_0001_orderextra_01" file is so funny " A blast came from the right then a blast came from the left, we had no idea what to do!" XD
