Server wont login

Okay my mod has a server and all now but the problem is players cant connect to it. is there any way to fix this?

Do you have a router? You'll have to make sure ports 2302-2303 are open (forwarded) and that FLServer can access the internet. Can players see your server on the global list?

Im not hosting the server, but I can see it on the list, but it says it cant connect to the server.

Is greyout? If so, your server exe and freelancer exe are not the same version and it will nto allow you to connect unless your freelancer.exe is the exact same version as the server.exe running on the server.

no, both exes are version .12, btu when I click connect, it says server crashed message.

You could try removing all character files from the server. If you really want to keep them, just back them up to a different folder, but try connecting when they're all gone.

first of all, its the worlds unveiled official server, second of alll, there are no player files already. I think the ports thing is the problem.

If the ports were the problem, you would not see it in the list and this woudl nto cause a crash.

Check the server error log and the client error log. They may tell you something about why it is crashing.

its not crashing, because it was up, but now its down. I dont know the problem. IM NOT THE SERVER HOST IM JUST TRYING TO HELP THE GUY HOSTING THE SERVER!

Well we can't help if we don't know what is going on server-side. Why isn't the server owner posting?

If you can, get him to look at the CONSOLE screen when you try to log on to the server. It would be good to know if the server knows you're trying to connect.

Do you know if the server is running IonCross, FLHook or anything like that?
