move names on Sirius nav map

I remember someone claiming to be able to mave the names ("BRETONIA", "KUSARI" etc.) on the Sirius nav map, but I can't find it...

What I want to do, is move "BRETONIA" somewhat more up and to the right. Someone cares to explain? I guess it'll take some Hex editing...

Thanks in advance.

Hey Moonhead,

I wrote up a tutorial on this after I saw this post since you aren't the first person to ask for this. It is in the Editing Tutorial forum.

Please let me know if you find it useful.

Enjoy!

Hey Alcander,

Very cool, thanks!!! Btw I have yet to look at it, and I gotta go working... (If your tutorial is good enough, I'll call my boss and say "take this job and shove it"

Man, am I glad I didn't delete all my Freelancer stuff; I'm getting in it to it again (mainly system making - I sorta found a way to do that in ARGH style - all in xml files. And I finally found out how to counterbalance the planets' texture deformation so I can now finally make good-looking planets.).

O Btw Alcander, have you ever come across the other problem I mentioned? About asteroids not being rendered beyond appr. 130 K from a system's center? (Which makes creating large systems less fun - I want a Kuiper Belt and an Oort Cloud in my Sol system...)
