big planets?

is there a way to get big planets in FL? like life size ones (like in FLCE)

you have to make cmps for planets and resize them to be huge. however... somehow people have ended up seeing through them. argh has a guide in his forum type/group /whatever called argh's pretty planet project

The Requiem mod also has huge planets. You will only see through them if they do not have a sur file with them, however, the problem I am having at the moment is the distance to the planet is off.

I recall seeing a discussion about this somewhere... was there not a mod done where someone simply shrunk all the ships, and zoomed the camera in? It would give the same effect...

You can see some of FriendlyFire's stuff from FL:CE in Argh's forum.

Large planets are possible with which ever model type you want, CMP, 3DB and SPH can all be massive, as long as you don't want photo realistic planets then the SPH are usually the best, as you don't get hitbox problems when you resize them.
