N00b question: initialworld.ini

I need to know if initialworld.ini is ESSENTIAL for FL MP gaming.

sorry for being such a n00b about this, but i'm just very confused about 2 opposing posts...

Yes as this sets up the initial variables for all poeple who join the server.

you can open all the jump gates with that file.
