Creating ships and factions to use with Freelancer Explorer

i want create new ships and new factions,and i'm a rookie. i have the freelancer explorer to create new systems. anyone can help me?

Ships = Milkshape 3D
Systems = FLE

That should get you started, but Milkshape 3D is tricky!
