Visit Codes

Hey,

Did a quick search on the forum, searched for visit code visit = 0 etc, couldn't find a decent explaination of these codes and how they effect the system/object.

Can anyone give me a decent explaination of the codes people use in their mods and their effect?

Thanks

If I remember correct

visit = 0 will show up on map when you find it
visit = 1 will so up on map from start
visit = 128 will never show up on map

If there are others I do not know

So if 128 is used it just doesn't show up on map but whatever it is would still be visible?

The reason I ask is I am trying to create jumpholes that are A: invisible and not viewable on the map, and B: ones that are invisible to look at, but selectable and dockable from the navmap.

The Junkers base in New York is a 128 so to fix that you would need to make it a 0 as I have done. Also the storyline jump hole Leeds to Cambridge will never show unless you edit it to 0.

That takes care of the navmap, what I'm talking about is invisible holes in the game itself...

Then just change the hols to 128

where are the visit codes located please pretty please.

Changing the hole to 128 will make it dissapear on navmap, but would it make the actual hole visibly dissapear in-game?

I figured it out, all I needed to do was edit the loadout for the jump hole type and remove the equip line for the effect, worked like a charm with the visit = 128.

@ Richard

Look in the Data\Universe\Systems\Li01<---or another folder

and look for visit = 0 in the code He is an example

[Object
nickname = Li01_to_Li05
ids_name = 260914
pos = 80632, 0, 12299
rotate = 0, 105, 0
Archetype = jumpgate
msg_id_prefix = gcs_refer_system_Li05
ids_info = 66145
jump_effect = jump_effect_bretonia
reputation = li_n_grp
visit = 0 <-------------------------------------Here it is
behavior = NOTHING
difficulty_level = 10
goto = Li05, Li05_to_Li01, gate_tunnel_bretonia
loadout = jumpgate_li_03
pilot = pilot_solar_easy

Also there are other codes you will find then 0, 1, and 128

Have fun
