Some possible explantions of a System crash upon jump in include problematic patrol paths, or nebulas or asteroid fields not being declared (remembering, asteroids and nebula's need two entries in a system.ini file, not just one). Also check your spelling of things like the archetype names, though typically if these are wrong, they just won't show rather than cause a crash. Also check your backgrounds, if you are putting new backgrounds in, sometimes they might cause a crash.

Try also using a debugger like FLScan to assist your search.

Finally, if the code is not too long, try omitting different parts out and loading the system using the semi-colon ; function across sections of code. When you find the system working after omitting a section out, you have pin pointed where the problem is.

I would use FLScan first then correct all the errors it finds then try it again it might be something simple like you forgot to add a , or like I have done before is leave the 0 out of the li_gun1_mark01 < wrong li_gun01_mark06<right. Little things like that can make you go nuts trying to find it, but FLscan finds it in about 1 minute.

When i scanned systems it said somet about prisoniers, they were invalid but none of invonvled my system.
I did'nt type it up, i used FLE.
