"Nav Map not avaible" and one thing about FLEX

How to make an "Nav Map not avaible error" (like in Story-only systems) display in my self-made system's nav map? 'Cause it would be cool to fly in system without a nav map, full of nomads and stuff.

And...

In Freelancer Explorer's Population zone and Patrol creation windows, there are these kinda types (area_assault, area_defent etc.). I wonder what's the difference between area_nomads and area_nomands_m13.

dude....search the tutorials forum before posting here about the absolute basics of modding...you can find nearly EVERYTHING you ever will need to know in the tutorials, and anything you dont find there you can probably teach yourself to do. ;(

this forum is here that ppl can ask questions... any questions about modding to be exactly

to tell them to search somewhere else is not a solution... instead it would be better to help those people

to make the objects of a system not visible on a map just open the universe.ini and add "visit = 0" to your system

the map not available is very likely hardcoded

the difference between those encounters is the way they appear in game... in those files a leaders is set and some fighters which follow the leader... those files also contain information about formations and type of ships

best way to find out what they do is to compare every line of those 2 files

Ok,i might get flamed for this but hey,it's been bugging me.
I know that you guys will say "we get fed up of answering the same questions all the time",but this is a place to ask questions and discuss ideas.

People tend to ask a question here and get told 10 times to go find out for yourself...instead 1 of those 10 people could've just helped whoever it is out!To me it's just rude and is likely to put people off from comming back here...is that what we want?NO

The tutorial section tbh is a mess, the ammount of times i've searched for things and not found anything is probably in the many 10's..and rather than ask and get told "go look for it" i usually muddle on and find out for myself, and in most cases it takes me a lot longer.

So how about welcoming the new modders here with a helpful "hello,if you do .... etc etc" instead of. "go look for it"..now i know most people don't word it like that, but that's what it ammounts too..so i agree with OP (again lol)

For the "Navmap not available" thing:
Why not enter that as the system name?

Post Fri Aug 18, 2006 1:56 pm

because of a simple reason
it would b displayed on the universe map and everytime you jump into that system
