directional arrows

Is there a way to get rid of the arrows that appear in front of my ship when I move the mouse?

I fly in "free mouse" mode mostly. When I turn the ship(move mouse), there are small arrow type things that show which way the mouse(ship) is moving. I think they are unrealistic. How can I get rid of them?

Dunno much about editing the interface but by replacing the arrow texture (if it is one) with a completely transparent one, it should work.
