Packages

Hey,

I'm having trouble understanding packages here, not much problem with it, mostly I'm fine.

I would like to know how to actually add weapons in with a package ... I looked at the starflier package and see nothing about the 3 weapons ...

I see addon = lines in the packages, and equip = lines in the loadouts areas, I'm guessing thats how I add them, as thats how they'd be added to npc ships, I'm just trying to find out if I got this right ...

under the lines for addon =, if I put the following:

equip = special_nomad_gun02, HpWeapon01

That should give me a Nomad Energy Cannon on my first weapon slot, correct? And just repeat the process for other hardpoints...

I am just getting confused.... and would love some clarification!

For packages you just use the addon instead:
addon = special_nomad_gun02, HpWeapon01, 1

lol, I've nearly done all my ground work now, I have a cloned eagle, and the majority of my basic data work done for it.

It was then I realised I can't then open it in HardCMP to edit the hardpoints, GAH.

Have to start again, do the hardpoints first,

Hi! One suggestion for hardpoints.
I add the hardpoints in hardcmp to new ships. Its good. Then i open the cmp in milkshape and in utf editor the same time. By moving the cursor in milkshape you will have very nice hp coordinates. So I edit the cmp by having the coordinates right in front of me.Then save it in utf editor with another name, since utf editor cannot overwrite. Close ms without saving anything.
Done. Same moves go for coorecting the hp coordinates. Easy way, fast and very accurate.

Same can be done for ships with existing or wrong hardpoints.
