LOD Range changes not working in MP

Can anyone throw some light on this?

Changed LOD ranges in shiparch.ini for several large ships to values over 4000 (e.g. LODranges = 0, 5000) but can only see the change in SP, in Multiplayer there is no change and even very large ships still disappear at about 2.2km.

This is when using the same PC to run FLServer and FL.

When I set to values of 1000 (LODranges = 0, 1000)
then the ships disappear at 1km or thereabouts in MP as expected.

I just need to have the larger ships still visible at about 4000 km.

Did I overlook any setting?

nop, it's just MP-behavior - npc ships appear at 2.5, and player ships appear at 5k/9k if in your group
