Which mod is best suited for a LAN?

Hi there!
I am looking for a good mod to play a LAN with a few friends with, I want to know what is a good mod with lots to do, that has accsess to the IONCROSS files so I can control the LAN. I have already tried things like freeworlds and evolutions but they are not really what I am looking for. I was looking for a mod that added some large battles to participate in, with battleships and such from different houses fighting and where the players can participate. I know there was a place like this in evolutions but it wasnt diverse enough to challenge us :/ We also want some large new places to explore with new and unique ships and such too.

If anyone can tell me a good mod that is well suied to a small group of people working together then I would really like to hear your suggestion. Thankyou

Try Discovery 4.79.3 by Igiss
its good, got a tone of new ships including battlestars
and there are battleship incounters in every system as well as several new systems with large amounts of nomads both in fighters , gunboats, and battleships. AI also use SB/NB to make battles more difficult.

I've sort of made this for LAN after I've never had time to host a server. I have server files for the mod, but they aren't updated for 0.6 as of this time. If you still want them, then just send me an e-mail. I'll be happy to send them.
