docking on capships

I've been playing SP using a scouser transport (cuz it feels cool), but I've been having a problem with docking on capital ships with it. I have searched thorougly for any mods that allow the docking of battleships on other battleships, and I didn't really have much success. Is it possible to disable the "docking not allowed, we cannot service a ship of your size" option with some mod? I know the scouser might be large, but unlike a battleship, it is actually small enough (in a way) fit in the hatch of a battleship.

If anyone has any pointers as to what mods to get, that'd be really cool. I totally am fed up looking, because I spent so much time trying to find it.

In the Data\Missions\mShipProps.ini file change the "prop = can_use_med_moors" to "prop = can_use_berths"
And...
In the Data\Ships\ShipArch.ini file, change the "mission_property = can_use_med_moors" to "mission_property = can_use_berths"

You'll be able to dock just about everywhere.
(May look strange, with parts of the ship inside of other ships, or buildings.)

You will most likely get stuck in some docks using this method by the way. But that's how it goes.

Mods - there are a very large number. Look on the mods downloads for descriptions.

TNG, Evolutions, and I can also plug the RRJDS 2.80 mod

It's got full-scale ships all in good size and handling and cargo proportion to each other, docking is fixed, weapons are corrected and many more good things. Get it from http://downloads.rrjds.com and look for the test server(s).

But like many mods you will need to have your original game CD as the writers don't want to risk Microsoft's wrath by issuing cracked exe's. Or if you are good I am sure you can find a get-round :lol:

I've been going through this sort of thing recently. I've found that if you move the large moor to above the berth in solar_arch, you will always launch from the moor point regardless of if you are a fighter of capital ship.
So, change tthis:
nickname = l_dreadnought
type = STATION
..
docking_sphere = berth, HpDockMountA, 10, Sc_open baydoor
docking_sphere = moor_medium, HpDockMountB, 5.000000
docking_sphere = moor_large, HpDockMountC, 5.000000

to this

docking_sphere = moor_large, HpDockMountC, 5.000000
docking_sphere = moor_medium, HpDockMountB, 5.000000
docking_sphere = berth, HpDockMountA, 10, Sc_open baydoor

I'm not to fond of the always leaving by the moor point so i normally just allow big sjips to dock at planets and a few dedicated shipping platforms. You should be able to dock ok though.
