Credits - exe help needed

ok when u go to options, theres a credits thing. How do u make/add ur own version of that to have ur modding team?

All the info will be contained within a dll somewhere... just got to find it I suppose.

i shearched all of the freelancer files for "Credits" and 4 files came up:
*UNINSTAL.EXE -I really dont think what i need is in here
*commod_credits.3db - this isnt it, just the icon for money(creadits)
*page_credits.page - I dont no how to open/look at this
*Freelancer.exe -i dont no how to cut this open, i think it mite be in here

if anyone knows how to look at the last to files pls tell me.

Omg. What are you doing? The credits are like every other text in FL stored in a DLL. In this cause it's the MisctextInfo2.dll in the FL EXE Subdirectory. Search there for Digital Anvil and you'll find the desired information.

ok i feel really dumb right now, but ok. any way how do u open up exes i been want to look at the code, but i dont no how. i dont no if u even can

First of all, go to the kitchen and make yourself a large cup of hot black coffee, put 2 sugars in it, and take your time and drink it - slowly.

While you do that, convince yourself that you are really really tired and in need of a very good holiday by the sea, with no PC in sight, for at least a week.

So then - go and do it!

'Cos when you come back and read this post again, it doesn't say anything about opening any exe files. Just get FL-id-Referrer 1.06 and ResHack, and go open the .dll that burzelman told you, which is in the FL\EXE Folder. Then you can go mess up your game really easily - just keep all the original names in the creds as a small gesture of compassion for the work they did do.

On the other hand, if you mean you ALSO want to screw up some .exe files, just to make sure, then go get a Hex Editor and a decompiler and go play!
