Player mountable cargo pods?

but you know that mounting ships on the trains does increase the lag?

im using this kind of cargopods for about 1 year now on crossfire and experimented with it... if too many people are using these ships the serverload will raise much faster than normal

suggestion... use simple objects like normal cargopods... that will work much better

I might do, it really isn't a big thing for me. I was just playing around with the pods and one thing led to another. If its going to cause problems in MP then i'll just kick it completely. Or at least, only allow players to use them not npc's.

Very good job.

My question would be: how do you make an external cargo for another ship?
I would like to have a large freighter tractor cargo to the OUTSIDE of the freighter for all to see.

I don't think that would be possible. It seems all of the mounting cargopods and filling them with goods is all a part of the behavior = trade. I can't see how it would know not to put the cargo hold , but put it on your custom hardpoint instead.
I have just this minute got cargo pod commodities working in a limited from one base to another format. With all of the goods mounted from the shield screen in the equipment dealer. Its going to be a day or so for me to come up with the best format, but it adds a new area that i haven't seen before.
