Ok, if your using Win XP, start the download, and stay in the forum while it does. When the server freezes or restes and ONLY then, click the (X) to close the downoad. then go back to the download location and click on it again to download and it should pick up where it left off. Large mods, I wouldstrongly recomend cable modem to get them. It took me 3 tries to get crossfire wen the server reset. It would pick up where it left off every time.

or use a download manager like getright or DAP (although some people don't like DAP, I haven't had any problems with it)

Thanks for the replies. It seems that each time the download stops it will not resume form the point it stops, DAP says that 'Resume' is not available, got to 121Mb of crossfire and it stopped, started again but only from the beginning. Please someone torrent these large files, would make it alot easier. Maybe a formal suggestion to the uploaders to put it both here and on one of the more popular torrent sites.

P.S. I do have a cable modem, just that we get slowed to 64K after 10Gb downloads/month. Welcome to Telcos in Australia... We're completely under the thumb down here. They've got no idea on what real internet activity requires!!!!!

Have you tried leaving it downloading overnight?

Or do you have a linux box? I've found that linux makes a much better downloader than DAP or any other windows software.
