Changing Freelancer version number
Last time I posted this question it was deleted, this may be because I put it into the wrong board, but I cannot tell because no one explained what was wrong with what I posted.
Therefore, in my ignorance, I continue:
How does one change the Freelancer version number?
I have search the forums with both Google and the forum search and have found nothing.
There is a link to a page about the changing of the version number, but it takes one to the wrong page. Here is the page that has the wrong link (the link is under the 'Page 9' heading):

If anyone has any problems with what I have posted please inform me of what is wrong instead of just deleting my post.
