I've searched but have not found anything I can use.

Could some please point me in the direction of some information on reading the contents of the 'name' file that lives in the MP player characters directory?

I need to link the name hash code in the character.fl file with the actual "friendly name" of the character. I assume this data is in this file called 'name'.
