What files in freelancer can I legally duplicate, modify and distribute in a mod?
I have heard that you can do this with all the files(ini/sur/cmp/dll) except the source code in the exe files.
I just like to stay on the right side of the law.

Any insight would be appreciated.

As far as I can see, anything in the "Data" folder can be modified at no cost or charge. You can not sell or make money off of any mods. Best to look at the EULA on the disk for all clear legal things.
