Yes you can, but it's all up to you to figure it out.
I do not know if microsoft cares that much about it, I've seen other mods with new movies. I even added a new intro to my mod and nothing bad has happen(let hope luck doesn't run out ).
So good luck adding intros.

I added a custom image to my mod and-crash. What could be wrong?

Is the resolution/format correct.

I've done it, that is to say that pll that are helping me with my mod have done it for the mod. We changed the splash screen (loading screen) the Main Menue Logo (at the top left of the MM) the Background animation (with custom ships and custom sound) and we've made our our opening movie and took out the others. IT looks great.

If u goto Freelancer/data/interface/intro/images/ and find the Splash screen and the MM logo there to edit. All the other stuff i mentioned was alot trickyer and more complicated.

hah,you call that gravedigging?I've seen posts from before the game was released dug up!

i tried it..with the correct format, size, etc..and it just skipped the image..and went right to the main menu..

BlackPanther are you sure it's in the right format, it should work if it's in the right format.

i know why, i know why.......i wnat to know......well ok

the image you are using it proberly a .TGA right well for some reason if you look closely at the default FL splash screen you will see that it has an ALPHA channel, But why do u say, who really knows maybe the dudes at digital anvil were high while they were making it. the alpha channel is required to view the image, or though there is no need for an alpha.

Make one, save it, then it works
