Lane_patrol

I have a lane_patrol set up and not working. And it just doesn't refuse to show up. No, when I launch from Orlando, I see my desktop sooner than expected. Here is the patrol:

[zone
nickname = Zone_Li06_path_navy2_1
pos = 22769, 0, -15060
rotate = -90, 44.2, 0
shape = CYLINDER
size = 750, 41182
sort = 99
toughness = 4
density = 3
repop_time = 90
max_battle_size = 4
pop_type = lane_patrol
relief_time = 30
visit = 128
path_label = navy2, 1
usage = patrol
mission_eligible = True
faction_weight = li_n_grp, 10
density_restriction = 1, patroller
density_restriction = 1, police_patroller
density_restriction = 1, pirate_patroller
density_restriction = 4, lawfuls
density_restriction = 4, unlawfuls
encounter = patrolp_gov_patrol, 4, 0.33
faction = li_n_grp, 1

There are three other lane_patrols, but they don't cause crashes. Yet. It runs parallel to my tradelane, just as in New York, so I don't think position is the cause. So far, the help has been invaluable. Let's keep up and hope this thing gets released.

*edit* Never mind, partially. It doesn't crash now. But I still have the niggaling side effect of the patrol not showing up.

I'll ask the usual stuff :

1) Is your patrol path having a base/hole/gate at its beginning AND end?

2) If a base, does this base at least has one NPC in its bar that is affiliated with the patrolling faction?
If a hole/gate, does the system it leads to have the patrolling faction present? (As in patrols, encounters, maybe even NPCs in bar(s))

1: No. New York doesn't, and there is no way to make it happen in my system.

2: N/A

The 1) is important but can be sometimes forgiven until it at least starts somewhere.

But the starting place must absolutely have a NPC affiliated to the faction for the patrol to work. That's what I had to do to make mines work at least.

Anybody else, is he right? Because I cannot put a base at the starting point; and thus, no NPC can be affiliated on a base that doesn't exist. Remember, this is NOT a trade patrol, but a lane patrol. I know that what you said is true for a trade patrol, but as I said, I'm not so sure about lane patrols.
