House names on Navmap

hi!
Can anybody tell me how i can replace (or delete) the house names (Liberty, Kusari, Bretonia, Rheinland) and the Sector Name (Sirius Sector) on the universe navmap? I have figured out how to change the background picture but i don't know how to change these house names!

Would be very helpful for completing a mod!!! (www.img-modding.de -> Perry Rhodan Mod!)

Its part of the bacround file. you will have didcreat a new picture or use photoshop to edit the picture. crop paint over the names then type in your own. the words are basicly PART of the image. not overlaid tesxt

I'm sorry, but it has to be some type of overlay because I've changed the universe navmap and the house names are also there.

I believe Mknote opened a thread about this months ago... I'll share with you what I remember from it.

These names, the House names, are in resources.dll and they are the same entries that you see when you enter a Starsystem that belongs to one of the four houses: "Stuttgart System, Rheinland space". So any changes you make will not only show up on the Universe NavMap but also when you enter a starsystem belonging to one of the Four Houses.

Each of these Four Houses has a couple of specific starsystems' ids_names linking to it, to put "Bretonia Space" etc. behind it, when you enter such a system. This behaviour, unfortunately, is hardcoded (meaning, it is not arranged somewhere in an ini-file).

I say "unfortunately", because it means that you cannot just add like 6 new Kusari systems; they will not show "Kusari Space" when you enter one them. (There is, however, room for one more Rheinland Space system).

It also means that if you want to get rid of the Houses' names,, you'd also better make new ids_name entries for the Starsystems connected to them, otherwise the player would see "Stuttgart system, space" when entering the Stuttgart system.

You also cannot move the location of these names on the NavMap (at least not by changing some values in an ini-file; I believe Alcander wrote he found a way to do this by hacking the exe, but he didn't reveil it - yet).

So, depending on what you want to do, you will have to think up a creative workaround...

EDIT: you can edit resources.dll using Resource Hacker

Did anyone manage this until now? I mean changing the positions of the house names on the navmap

This ones been mentioned ages ago, i've got a few for you.
1252 = is RHINELAND
1249 = is LIBERTY
I would check the others but i have deleted mine. You need to replace the entry with a space if you want it to not show at all. Also, If you want the system to come up just the name of the system and not "Liberty" space then you need to change the ids_name of the system in universe.ini.

Ah, but he asked if we could change the POSITION of the names. AFAIK, only Alcander has been able to do that... it involves EXE hacking that's WAY over my head, but I'll link to the post he mentioned it in.

Ah, here it is:

PS: ALCANDER, COME BACK!!!

The numbers you need to edit are in the Resources.dll and are as follows;

1252 = Rheinland
1251 = Kusari
1250 = Bretonia
1249 = Liberty

1285 = Sirius map (map name)

If you want to leave the main sectors blank for instance then delete the name (ie Liberty) and insert a space, then save otherwise you get an IDS number ??? showing up on your map which you can do without.
