You just add extra ones to the bottom. I would post up my ones for you to paste in , but i've been playing about quite a lot with the levels, so its probably best you make ur own up to suit your mod.

Those are for SP only, I think MP is hardcoded.

No, i'm sure that you can mod the levels for mp too. I've played on Lansdale and some of the established clan players are on level 80+. I can't see how it can be anything more than ptough.ini, have you deleted any previous saved games and restart.ini to see what happens?

Max level in SP is 40.. Max level in Mp is 40 if you use the original Freelancer files, if however, you take and apply the official Microsoft 1.1 patch, then you can unlock the levels above 40 .. but only in MP, without the anti cheat files etc.. you can play with the ptough.ini till the cows come home and it makes no difference.. after you apply the patch then edited the ptough.ini to level 90 or higher - you should be right .. It took me a long time to find out, we did it with our mod and I have seen players on servers at that rank ..tho I think the highest level possible is something like 99

no the highest rank is 90 ... but this does only work if you break the 999.999.999$ limit

if you do that's , the server says you cheating dectected !! are you restart to zero, or CTD ...
without cheating detecttion desactivation into the EXE you cannot ....

in my opinion its better only to have one rank, nobody really cares about their money, in my mod all are level 0 apart from Admins

I downloaded 1.1, then modded ptough to have a level 41.

Yet somehow, my ship on my server is level 80, when there is no level 80.

It is good I now have a level 80, I would just like to know how to control it.

I'm pretty sure that the 1.1 patch changes an entry in constant.dll (it may be common.dll) to achieve the player rank change. Ptough is nothing to do with it. I have made a copy of constant .dll after the 1.1 patch has been installed and placed into freelancer without the 1.1 patch and the ranks went up to 89, this does away with the cheat detect. You can get to level 90 by carrying lots of weps in your hold as this takes you above the 999,999,999 limit. But with Alcanders pacth you can now go up to 2,000,000,000 credits but the rank stays at 90. Does anyone know which entry it is in the dll that would raise the rank even higher than 90.

...Is it possable to have words apear instead of numbers? For example, instead of being a level 1 pilot, you're a private.

Example:
You have advanced to a private.

i doubt they left that option in the game so you could just do it
