Not to be rude, but I might like a .cmp and .mat exporter for GMAX.
Just a task for any MAX script expert.

First off... erm... you can do those conversions with MS3D. Second off, if your MS3D has expired... buy it... end of rant

i KNOW that. I KNOW that i can convert them with ms3d. And no, my trial hasn't expired. This is for a PROGRAM . My program cannot hi-jack ms3d in order to convert the file. i need to have a .dll (or, if the plug-in IS a .dll, what parameters and arguments it has), or a command-line executable.

Well, the source for the CMP importer/exporter is in the downloads section somewhere. If you can't be bothered to do it yourself then just use the code you need from that. I think asking someone to make the program for you as well is a little...well...lazy.

For convert ms3d to X , tried Unwrapd3D ... unwrap3d have a plugin to load and convert to this format as many other too !!! .. but you needs to buy it too ....

Please don't call me lazy. I just don't know HOW to convert it. Otherwise i'd be doing it myself. I'll look those up. Should be helpful, thx.

To all of the people above this post:

1. MS3D is cheap, compared to any other app you can buy.

2. You can have a bank account no matter how old you are. Get a bank account and Paypal the money.

3. People who talk about keygens here are asking for trouble. Yes, I know we're all aware that "everybody does it", but it's still not cool. Especially with MS3D, where the argument "it's too expensive" is total crap. BUY IT- SUPPORT SHAREWARE!

Lastly... um... why would anybody want to code this doohickey for you? I mean, you haven't exactly explained why this would be to anybody's benefit but your own... not to be rude or anything, but that's unlikely to get you the help you need- there are about 5 people in the FL community who have the skills and background to actually help you, but none of them are likely to make you something for some one-off, private project...

Wow, thank you for a very nice and understanding post. Aside from the keygen part, since i sincerly doubt i would go to that much trouble anyway, i don't think that program will work.

As for the rest of your post, i was just asking for help. For your information i am working on a revolutionary new program. It obviously has to do with 3D m0dels. If your all going to be this cold and unrecepting, fine i will get my help elsewhere.

For the record: My post does not do anything near the matter of promoting or giving away keygens. I just hinted at the possibility, and no where did i provide anyone with a keygen nor did i say keygen's were not bad. They are illegal, and i reconize that.

Now i am off to find a forum that might actually give me some help. Good day to you, and good riddance.

I did read the previous posts correctly. If you read them, you get to see the following quotes:

... does anybody else want to argue that my interpretation of the above (other than Champs and Harrier's helpful suggestions) was unfair?

As for Blackhole going off in a huff... um... I'm afraid that I was just being honest here. If he wants help, he needs to explain exactly what he's going to do with this converter that would be of real benefit to the FL community, so that he might attract the interest of those who have the skills to help him. If nobody thinks it's worth their time and efforts... too bad. And if he doesn't like that, too bad...
