targeting box problems

I was wondering if any of you advanced modders could help me with a problem, I've added a ship to a mod and it fiy's, but when you target it, the target box is about 10 feet behind the actual ship. I've checked the milkshape file to make sure it was centered there and I've even made a completely new CMP and the SUR seems to be as best it could be. I have a few other ships flying around also, but they all seem perfectly fine.

I'm stumped.. any help wuld be greatly apreciated.

Um, have you used FLModel Tool on the CMP and SUR? That'd probably help. FL probably is getting default data on where the centers for both things are...

The bounding box data may be out. In testing ModelTool with Silvik there were issues on bounding box size and the reticule.

Yeah, and I'd still like to see a feature in FLModel Tool allowing us to move the SUR around, but hey, it usually works pretty darn well

Thanks for the responce guys.. I resized it in FLMod Tool because the origanal size was smaller then a hard point.. I'm going to try and just drag it back in Milkshape a few inches, I'll let you know what happens.

Thanks

UPDATE:

Well I messed around with the CMP for about 3 hours dragging it ever further backwards in milkshape trying to correct the problem. I finally gave up as it didn't correct the problem no matter what I did. So I decided to try a new SUR file.. and that fixed the problem first attempt.

So it was the damn SUR file all along :/

Yes, it usually is. FLModel tool is great, but it uses the 0,0,0 for the SUR when resizing, etc., which can be a problem with any of the FL-native SURs that aren't aligned right.
